I have been crocheting since I was a teenager. I started in 2008 and learned from a very old book someone’s grandma gave to me. I made hats and scarves to no end. Until I made my first stuffed animal. I knew that was something I would love for eternity. I found a website that belonged to a blogger who has Pokémon crochet patterns. I WENT CRAZY! I even found that website a few years ago.

Almost two decades later, I still enjoy making stuffed animals. I prefer to use acrylic yarn; it is my comfort and I have always worked with it. My stuffed animals last the test of time, even with the maniac toddler who loves them to no end. 

My downfall is that I dislike making crochet items for orders. I do it, but it isn’t as fun for me. When someone pays me to make one, I stress about every single stitch, and I overthink that they will notice any mistake I make. So, I prefer to make what I want and put them on display at craft shows. The other problem I run into is that my skills and abilities cannot be priced for who I want my customers to be. A child’s parent is not going to pay high prices for a child to have a stuffed animal. That is OKAY I am a parent myself. That is why crocheting is kept as my hobby.

One day I will publish my own pattern book! I am slowly working on fifteen different patterns. This will stay behind the scenes, and when I get closer to the book being out in the world, I will begin to show my stuffed animals on my social media.
