Spirit essence is the substance that supernaturals survive on. In the Hierarchy world, humans are made up of spirit essence it is the core of their being. Angels and demons survive off of it and they created their supernaturals to survive off it as well. Some humans are stronger than others. The reasoning can be genetics or supernatural interventions. Witches or warlocks can taint their spirit essence. Because they have to use the magic from supernatural ingredients, it marks their spirit essence. Essentially, making them bitter to supernaturals.
Over thousands of years, angels and demons would gain human followers. The humans would see them as gods, and it created most of the religions humans have today. As time went on, some realized they could enhance the humans, thus creating supernatural followers. The angels and demons are at peace, and there is a treaty in place. They can be around each other, but most of the time there is a bitterness toward the other hierarchy. They do not mingle or cross paths. Typically, they have disrespectful names towards on one another like calling a vampire a drainer.
When you are a supernatural, you run the risk of falling into despair. When that happens, you turn into a malicious creature. This happens when any supernatural falls too deep into a depression, like the loss of their significant other. For Angel Hierarchy supernaturals, they turn into a banshee. Wailing to stun their prey and absorbing all the spirit essence through their talons. In the Demon Hierarchy, they turn into a genie. Where they grant false wishes and absorb the regret and spirit essence from grabbing them. They have their own set of weakness; banshee is gold while genie is rubies.
The Demon Hierarchy is made up of demons, vampires, werewolves, and goblins. Demons are the creators of all the lesser supernaturals. Demons have roamed the earth for thousands of years. Their creation is unknown and most stopped questioning after living for so long. There are moments in time where they have gathered humans to follow them, making them believe they are gods. Which is how humans have developed religions. Then the demons turned to creating their own supernatural humans. The supernaturals will allow a demon to have some of their blood and they swear fealty to this specific demon. Demons with larger followings are higher standings among other demons. Demons need the spirit essence of humans to replenish themselves and become stronger. They feed off the physical attributes of humans. Blood is the easiest way, then the physical touch of a human, and then consuming humans. Consuming humans soon became frowned upon, and most demons do not practice this anymore.
Pictured below is Lucifer's emblem.
Vampires were the first created. To Lucifer was among the demons that created the first vampire. He loved the idea of creating them, so he gave them similar features to him. Which is why vampires have red specks in their eyes and fangs on the K9 and the lateral incisor. He also granted them the ability to have a blood bond with one another. The majority of vampires have one enhanced ability about them. Like Ray Andrews can think faster than other supernaturals. He honed the skill to make him a fast fighter, and he can predict his opponents' moves as soon as they make them.Platnium is their weakness.
Werewolves are below vampires on the Demon Hierarchy side. They usually form packs because they absorb spirit essence from touch and the bond/loyalty makes that absorption stronger. Their packs will have humans, a part of them that will eventually become werewolves. Werewolves have two forms, their fighting form and riding form. When they are in their fighting form, their hands are a mix between claws and fingers. They are covered in their normal fur and have a full muzzle. In their riding form, they are a large than life wolf who can hold a rider with ease. It is a great honor among them to charge into battle with a demon on their back. In their werewolf form, they can communicate among their pack and hierarchy through their minds. They cannot read each other's mind, but they can talk to one another.Silver is their weakness.
Goblins are the lowest ranking in the Demon Hierarchy. In their Goblin form, they turn green and scaley. Their hands get bigger, and their nails turn into claws. Their mouths grow bigger and sharp teeth stick out of their mouth like alligators. A lot of goblins take jobs working behind the scenes, like mining metal and making weapons. Unless you are Nancy, she picked to become a Goblin because they consume human hair or wear it to absorb spirit essence and replenish themselves. It's vile to other supernaturals; but to Nancy, it was an advantage. Being a hacker requires her to sit at her computer for long hours and she doesn't need to worry about hunting or leaving her computer. Goblin's weakness is bronze.
I kicked my heel through the front door of my home with my supernatural strength. The door frame made an awful snapping noise when the lock exploded through it. The dense wooden door landed against the wall on the floor. Tears are poured down my face, and I clenched my jaw with malice. My impeccable makeup and long blonde beach wavy hair are now ruined. I stumbled over the door and screamed my frustrations.
My throat is strained from so much yelling that it cracks. I can only hiccup to breathe. I stomped into my beautiful bathroom that didn't match the rest of my small house; I remodeled it into a spa area. Slamming the bathroom door shut, cracked the elegant white wooden door in half. I can't stop my ears from coming to a point and my teeth being small and sharp. Gazing at myself in the mirror, my reflection confronts me with all my swirling emotions.
I am gorgeous, and no one should turn me down. His actions towards me were unacceptable. I have loved him with everything for the last three-hundred years. He was supposed to be my infinity mate, and he does that to me. How dare he? These humans aren't even in the same league, compared to me. No one!
I spun around and turned on my rainfall shower to the hottest setting. Then stepped back to the oversized vanity mirror and grabbed my brush off the counter. I brushed through my hair with too much brute force. Causing clumps of hair to drop off the brush. I clenched the brush and threw it at the big mirror, releasing my pent-up anger.
The mirror shattered into hundreds of shards, like my heart. They scattered all around the counter and floor. Peering down at the pieces, I do not know what I am going to do. He has been pulling away from me for years now. I don't want to live without him, I refuse to live without him. My bathroom is becoming cloudy. I’m unsure if it is the steam from the shower, or if a dense fog is forming around the floor.
Undressing felt like I was getting rid of the nastiness I witnessed today. Tossing the clothes away, I stepped into the shower, my tears flowed even harder. The hot water engulfed my body and ran over my head. Standing felt like a chore so, I sat on the shower floor. Letting the scolding water dump on me like everything in my eternal life is doing. I gazed down between my knees, watching the water flow down the drain. My hair is circling my face, preventing the water from running into my eyes.
My heartache is dulling to an emptiness. "I want to kill him and everyone around him. He deserves to die for making me feel this way," I spoke my thoughts aloud since I live alone. "I am too perfect of a fairy to get treated this way. I refuse to live without him."
Wiping away the tear and water mixture, I realized my hands are changing. My perfect almond-shaped nails are not there anymore they look like frail witch hands. At first, fear was filling my chest, but then it turned into relief. My shattered heart wasn’t weighing me down anymore.
I watched as my hands continue to change. My fingers were now becoming long, sharp talons. My hands are becoming transparent. Blown-away at the sensation of the water falling through me. My emotions followed the water through me and drifted away. My heart felt like a shell that was hollow and destructive. Embracing these changes, my arms changed to a ghastly, decaying skin tone.
Despite being transparent, I could grab the shower handle and shut the water off. Reaching out of the shower, I snatched my white robe. I wrapped myself in the white cotton and tied the strap tight. After I finished, I investigated my surroundings, everything changing.
The fog had enveloped my bathroom, and everything about me was transforming. There is no love for the man who crushed my heart and soul. There is no more pain either, only vengeance. My face contorted with rage while my heart is dissipating. My hair was shedding after it turned brittle. I let out a shriek that shattered the other mirrors in my bathroom. The skin on my face is tearing as my jaw opens beyond the normal length.
